Bible translations

We use public-domain translations, served through the HelloAO Free Use Bible API, a project that distributes public-domain Bible text with no API key required and no usage restrictions.

• English: King James Version (KJV), public domain.
• Español: Reina Valera 1909 (RVR1909), public domain.

We chose public-domain translations specifically so the full text can be baked into every page of the site (rather than fetched live from an external server on every visit), which makes the site load faster and more reliably.
